Reflection

After taking some time this weekend to reflect on the outpouring of love we have received following our Valentine’s Day adventure, I am still somewhat at a loss for words. When we began our day of spreading joy through simple Valentine’s Day cards and lollipops, I could never have imagined that the word would spread quickly and widely.

I keep thinking about the small I prayed back in October. I was simply asking God to reveal something that would help bring Jennifer out of seclusion. She had been spending way too much time in her room and was isolating herself more and more. He reminded me of her love of birthday cards, and from that, an idea began to come to life.

We started with just a few people on her list of birthdays to acknowledge—family and close friends. Now, Jennifer has almost 200 people on her list of birthday card appointments! She is looking for more, though.

Our next goal is to reach 500 people, which can only be accomplished with the help of those already supporting her. If you haven’t already, set up your appointment.
